Primus will take over Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion on June 23, Tuesday and I'm sure you would not want to miss this. Formed back in 1984 at El Sobrante, California, this funk metal band is actually a mix of the members of Blind Illusion. The band is fronted by the vocalist and bassist, Les Claypool together with Ler LaLonede on guitars and Brain Mantia on Drums. They were able to release several albums including Sailing The Seas of Cheese and Pork Soda. Who would not know the original theme song of the famous TV show South Park? Well, these guys are the voices behind the masterpiece. Their music is actually characterized as something really unique because it fits in between the alternative metal and funk metal genre. Their genre is even given a special name known as "thrash funk". If you want to have an experience of the one and only thrash funk, you have to get your tickets now, while they last.
